After purchasing Starlink from an authorized retailer or via transfer, your unique Starlink identifier will be needed to activate your service. You can locate the Starlink identifier through the Starlink app (Terminal ID) and/or by the Kit Serial Number (either on the shipping label or hardware). Please see details on where to find the Starlink identifiers below.
Note, this step is not needed if you purchased from starlink.com.
"Invalid Device ID" error - If you receive this error message, check that your Starlink identifier has been entered correctly. If you continue to receive this error, contact support another way here.
Kit Serial Number:

Terminal ID (located in the Starlink app)
- If you recently downloaded the app, click "Connect to Wifi" and choose the STARLINK network.
- In the Starlink app home screen, click the Menu button in the top left of the page, then scroll down and click the "i" information bubble to see details about the UTID.
- Under the 'Starlink' section, locate your Starlink identifier/terminal ID (ex. 01000000-00000000-00e1c9f7 - do not include "ut" in front).

Starlink Serial Number: (refer to specific Starlink hardware type)
- Starlink Standard & Starlink Enterprise: Located on the back of the Starlink near the connector port (ex. SN: 2ABC000000000000)
- Starlink Mini: Located on the back of the Starlink, at the bottom left of the Kickstand.
- Standard Actuated: Located on the bottom of the Starlink mast (ex. SN: 2ABC000000000000)
- Starlink Performance (Gen 1): Located on the bottom of the Starlink mast (ex. SN: HPCP000000000000)
- Starlink Performance (Gen 2): Located on the back of the Starlink near the connector port (ex. SN: HPCP000000000000)
- Starlink Performance (Gen 3): Located on the back of the Starlink, or on the raised part near the cable connection (e.g., SN: HPBA000000000000).
