Can I use Starlink on the ocean?
Yes! Starlink Performance, Starlink Performance (Gen 2), Starlink Standard, and Starlink Mini are all approved for in-motion use. Choose between two service plans based on how often you’ll be at sea:
Service Plans:
- Occasional Coastal Trips: Roam Unlimited plan allows short-term coastal coverage up to 12 nautical miles from shore. Ocean use is limited to 5 consecutive days and 60 days per year.
- Frequent Ocean Use: Global Priority plan offers the fastest speeds on land, coastal, and international waters. Please choose from one of our pre-set plans and adjust to meet your data needs.
Important Notes:
- Actuated Starlink models are not recommended for in-motion use due to safety risks.
- Exceeding data limits without opting for additional data restricts ocean internet access to your Starlink account.
