INTERNET FROM SPACE FOR MONTANA TO ALASKA ROADTRIPS
Alaska, United States | 63.5888° N, 154.4931° W

Vacation doesn’t have to mean total disconnection. Starlink kept this family and friends connected from Montana to Alaska on their classic car roadtrip.

"My husband and I planned a trip to Alaska with another couple. Both of us drove our 1930 & 1931 Model A Ford Delivery Trucks from Montana to Alaska. In order to stay in touch with our Model A Restoration business and my mother (who is 90) we invested in a Starlink Mini. So far, we have traveled 5,200 miles with the Starlink mounted to our 1931 Model A Ford Delivery hood!! To make this possible, we bought the magnetic mounting system for the Starlink. Our friends, who were ahead of us in the other Model A, were able to book our hotel reservations using the Starlink while on the road. While it is great to disconnect on vacation, it was also wonderful to know we could stay in touch with family and our business. Thank you Starlink!"

2024 Progress Report

In just over five years, SpaceX designed, deployed, and activated high-quality internet, which is now available for over 2.8 billion people around the world, including for those who live in some of the most remote places on Earth.

This progress report highlights several remote communities where Starlink is providing fast, reliable, and affordable internet. Rural school districts, counties, and tribal governments are now able to offer online access to education, telemedicine, and many other critical services—in some cases, for the first time ever.
