RELIABLE & RESILIENT

Strong connectivity through harsh weather conditions, network disruptions, and natural disasters

CONNECTIVITY WHEN YOU NEED IT MOST

With the world's most advanced satellite constellation, Starlink delivers high-speed, low-latency internet with 99.9% average uptime, providing reliable connectivity around the globe.

Designed to be weather resilient

Starlink is designed to endure the elements - it can melt snow and withstand sleet, heavy rain, and harsh winds. Latest generation Starlink Kits provide connectivity during medium-to-heavy rainfall, endure up to 160+ kph (99+ mph) winds comfortably, and can survive from -40°C (-40°F) to 43°C (110°F) temperatures.

NO INTERRUPTIONS

"We have even been through hurricane weather with no interruptions. We would recommend Starlink to everyone."

- Bertie A., Maringouin, USA
ONLINE DURING HURRICANES

“Last year during hurricane Helene all power was knocked out for weeks. Many people were unable to reach their loved ones. With Starlink we were able to get online and reach people on our phones. Starlink was our lifeline!! Thank you!”

- Christi W., Marion, USA
THROUGH THUNDERSTORMS

“I also have internet even through tremendous thunderstorms. I'm telling everyone I know in this area! The speed is wonderful. I don't know why anyone would have anything but Starlink!!!”

- Barbara S., Waldo, Florida

ADAPTIVE & RELIABLE COVERAGE

Starlink is built to deliver reliable high-speed internet, even when a customer’s view of the sky isn’t perfect. Trees, buildings, and other obstacles can temporarily block the connection to a given satellite, but the system is designed in such a way that these are generally unnoticeable to the user.

A given user terminal in the US has 10s of satellites in view, providing multiple pathways to route traffic via a satellite with a stable and unobstructed connection. Starlink terminals automatically switch between satellites in real time to address any performance issues in the link: this happens both proactively, for fixed installs, and reactively, for mobile terminals and unpredicted issues.

Emergency PREPAREDNESS & Response

In the face of natural disasters, Starlink's satellite network offers a dependable way to stay online - even when traditional infrastructure is damaged or unavailable.

Disasters and emergencies demand fast, reliable communication. Floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other crises often leave communities cut off when they need connection most. Starlink can be deployed in minutes to provide high-speed, low-latency internet, even in the most remote or devastated areas. Read more here.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

"We run a disaster relief company. We run Starlink for communications in disasters. Last year when Helene hit Vidallia, GA, we were the only people with communications to the outside world for nearly 24 hours. We assisted the local authorities by providing relay communications for them to outside agencies. Starlink has been an absolute blessing for what we do and allows us to help more people than ever."

- Bruce T., the USA
SEARCH & RESCUE

I was living in Northern Ontario when the wildfires broke out in early May. I had just set up my Starlink and the next day I was notified that we were being evacuated. If I didn’t have internet access I would have been in the last groups to be evacuated. I am thankful to have Starlink and was able to set it up with ease.”

- Michael S., Wabaseemoong, Canada
RELIABLE BACKUP

“Since the natural disaster that struck the state of Rio Grande do Sul in 2024, I began using Starlink connectivity as a reliable alternative for internet access. Starlink has become a strategic tool that has delivered excellent results.”

- Erick Nunes, Brazil

CUSTOMER STORY

“I live in rural Colombia, in the mountains, about an hour outside of Bogotá, and I work all day online as an English teacher, video chatting with people all over the world. In addition, my wife works all day online as a Spanish teacher. We needed reliable internet service that could overcome the geographical and weather challenges that we have where we are, in this very unimproved, rural area.

Starlink has been absolutely, undeniably, and completely reliable in the worst weather conditions - months of rain on end, cannot see the sky, constantly covered in clouds, and stormy conditions.

We are getting 200 Mbps down and we are getting about 20 Mbps up. We are both able to work all day with no interruptions, no outages, and it is working better for us than when we are in Bogotá and use the cable company's high-speed internet. It's an absolutely amazing service.

— Ryan C. in La Calera, Colombia
