Join us in our effort to keep space safe and sustainable

Take the following steps to enable effective, open conjunction coordination with Starlink as well as other satellite owner/operators:

NOTE: Space-track.org is independent of Starlink and as such, customer support inquiries to space-track.org will go unanswered. For customer support, visit the Starlink Support Page.

  1. Register for an account on space-track.org. This requires signing a data sharing agreement.
  2. Publish contact information.
  3. Publish ephemeris.
  4. Publish active & maneuverable status.

Coordinating with Starlink satellite operators on specific conjunctions

Starlink collision avoidance operators are available 24/7 to other satellite owner/operators via the contact information published on space-track.org to coordinate conjunctions. To contact our satellite operators, take the following steps:

  1. Login to your space-track.org account. Customer support inquiries to space-track.org will go unanswered. If you are a Starlink customer, please visit the Starlink Support Page.
  2. Select “Directory” from the “Operator” drop-down menu.
  3. Lookup “SpaceX” from the “Organizations” drop down then click “LOAD.”

The “Starlink Operations Phone” is staffed 24/7 and emails to the “High Urgency” address also page Starlink collision avoidance operators for rapid response. Note that this page also provides access to each satellite’s active and maneuverable status.

Ephemeris

Starlink ephemerides are also made available on space-track.org. They are published in the Modified ITC data file format (including position and velocity covariance), include 72 hours of prediction, and are updated three times daily. To retrieve these ephemerides from space-track.org:

  1. Login to your space-track.org account.
  2. Select “Download” from the “Files” drop-down menu.
  3. Select “Ephemeris” then “SpaceX” in the “Browse Directories” window.
