Disasters and emergencies demand fast, reliable communication. Floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other crises often leave communities cut off when they need connection most. Starlink can be deployed in minutes to provide high-speed, low-latency internet, even in the most remote or devastated areas.

From wildfires in Maui and Los Angeles to earthquakes in Vanuatu and Ecuador, Starlink’s constellation of nearly 8,000 low-Earth orbit satellites has kept emergency teams online and families in touch with loved ones. Starlink provides an end-to-end solution, delivering service at every step for the toughest situations on Earth.

RESILIENT HARDWARE RELIABLE NETWORK

Starlink has kits engineered for any mission. The power-efficient Starlink Mini provides mobile connectivity for boots-on-the-ground first responders, as seen during the catastrophic flooding in Texas Hill Country, where they relied on portable batteries, solar arrays, and vehicle power to stay online.

For larger footprint reunification centers, Starlink Standard with Gen 3 routers enables dozens of rescued families to video chat with loved ones, as demonstrated after the Noto Earthquake.

The Starlink Performance, the most durable terminal yet, has been tested in Earth’s harshest conditions and stands as the ultimate lifeline for increasingly intense and frequent natural disasters.

Those kits are backed by a laser-linked satellite network that instantly reroutes around downed ground stations for the fastest path. This proved effective during the 2025 blackouts in Spain and Portugal, where Starlink maintained service, linking to ground stations in Italy when Spanish sites lost power. As the constellation grows, Starlink continues to deliver solutions that meet the moment.
